Delivery Information
Flower Magik
charges a $7.95 delivery fee for deliveries in Salinas,
charges will be different for deliveries to other communities.
For same day delivery order by 1:00 pm Pacific Standard
time, and we will be able to deliver the same day Monday
through Friday. Weekend same day delivery must be
ordered by 10 pm Saturday.
Specific
Times
We offer either AM or PM delivery times but are unable
to promise specific delivery times.
Funerals
We give funeral orders our most care and priority. We
make every effort to find missing information about your
loved one such as calling the funeral home to find out
the viewing times.
In the event we are unable to deliver your arrangement
in time for the viewing we call you for alternative instructions,
possibly delivery to the families home.
Rural
Route Deliveries
Out
of town deliveries are charged a higher delivery fee.
Most deliveries require a phone number or the recipient
to insure timely delivery.
What
if no one is home?
Occasionally
the recipient will not be home when a delivery is attempted.
We will leave the flower arrangement if the location is
covered from the sun and area is protected and safe to
leave, and if it appears that there will be someone coming
home that day. Sometimes we will leave the arrangement
with a neighbor if someone is home and willing to keep
the arrangement until the recipient comes home. The last
alternative is to make another delivery attempt at later
that day or when it is convenient for the recipient by
leaving a card message to call Flower Magik.
The
Substitution Rule
Flower Magik cannot guarantee that the
floral gift you order will be exactly as pictured. Seasonal
and regional conditions affect the supply of flowers and
specific varieties or colors may not always be available
in Salinas. In some cases, substitutions may be necessary
to fulfill your order.
Sales
Tax
We are required by the State Board of Equalization to
collect appropriate sales tax on the entire purchase.
The code reads as follows: "Tax applies to amounts
charge by a florist to his customers for the delivery
of flowers to points within California, even though he
instructs another florist to make the delivery, but in
such case tax does not apply to amounts received by the
florist making the delivery. Tax applies to amounts charged
by florists who receive orders for the delivery of flowers
to points outside the state even though he instructs another
florist outside the state to make the delivery. The measure
of tax includes charges made for telegrams or telephone
calls whether or not the charges are separately stated.
A "relay" or other service charge made in addition
to the charge for the telegram or telephone call must
also be included in the measure of tax. Tax does not apply
to amounts received by California florists who make deliveries
in this state pursuant to instructions received from florists
outside this state."
