Fremont Peak State Park




One of the highest mountains in Monterey County, Fremont Peak borders San Benito County. Panoramic views are a main feature of this park. Camping and picnic facilities are available at this park. There is an Astronomical observatory in the park open for the public (April-October, moonless Saturday evenings, 8:00 pm)

Hours: Open year round
Day use hours:
8:00am to one-half hour after Sunset.

Location:
Highway 156, 11 miles south of San Juan Bautista on San Juan Canyon Road.
