Point Lobos
State Reserve represents most of the best coastal features Monterey County
has to offer. Along with spectacular views of Whalers Cove, to observing
the Gray and Humpback whale migration this park is unmatched for its wonderful
views and rocky shore access. Guided walk schedule and Whaler Cabin Museum
- posted at the main entrance. Generally from 11am-3pm.
No over night camping, and campers are not permitted in the park. Picnic
facilities are available, fires are not allowed. Along with spectacular
scenic beauty is always the potential for visitors to be injured or worse
please stay on the trails and be gentle to this fragile area. Located
along highway 1, just south of Carmel.

During
days of long summer daylight, closing time is extended and is posted at
the entrance.
