Salinas River State Beach
(Moss Landing)

The Salinas State beach is great spot for observing birds of all types. Many of the shore birds winter along these shores before moving on. Horse back riding is allowed on the beach. The sand dunes are not open to the public except for the trail follows the Salinas river for about two miles. The waves and rip currents can be very dangerous it is not recommended that visitors swim or wade in these waters. Day use only.
