In 1947 Greenfield was named after one of the original organizers of the town Edward Greenfield. Greenfield is Know as the Broccoli Capitol of the world. Today Greenfield is a rapidly growing Salinas Valley City. New affordable homes are continually being built and its sunny location offers perfect conditions for many crops from Broccoli to Wine Grapes.
