Gonzales is largely a farming town that was founded by the brothers Dr. Mariano and Alfredo Gonzalez in 1874. Gonzales offers many services for the traveler such as restaurants, a shopping center and hotels. This growing community is one to keep your eye on in the next few years. Gonzales has a very nice city park/swimming pool located on Elko and Centennial Drive.
