Pebble Beach was named for the pebbles covering the beach at the time, the beach has since disappeared. Pebble Beach is know for its famous Golf Courses, and its most beautiful 17 mile drive (about 2 hours or 22 miles round trip.) The drive will take your breath away with its beautiful coast line and cypress trees. The Pebble Beach Equestrian Center and Collins Field are open to the public.
